DRAFTMANGO / HELP

A little clarity.
Then back to building.

How the workspace fits together, what the previews mean, and how to look after your work.

Updated 25 October 2026

What is available?

The public site is a launch preview. Public registration and live AI access are not open yet. Access in an existing development workspace can differ from the public service.

  • Builder, chat and source editorImplemented for restricted testing. AI requests require an enabled provider.
  • Accounts and saved projectsAccount-backed storage is implemented. Public sign-up is closed while email delivery is prepared.
  • Subscriptions and AI creditsLaunch plans are previews. No live subscriptions or credit deductions are enabled.
  • DomainsSearch, connection and order drafts are in development/sandbox mode. No live registration or DNS setup.
  • PublishingCustomer-site hosting is not available. Export source to deploy independently.
  • Social sign-in and CLINot enabled. A provider button or device-code screen does not mean a connection is available.

Using the workspace

What is the difference between a chat and a project?

A chat holds a conversation. A project organises related chats, instructions and source files. Recent projects on the workspace home let you pick up saved work. Archiving keeps a record out of your active list; it is different from deleting it.

What do Preview, Code and Split do?

Preview displays the supported frontend in your browser. Code opens the editable file tree. Split keeps source and the preview visible together. With auto refresh enabled in Settings → Preferences, the preview updates after source edits.

What gets sent to the AI?

A submitted task can include your prompt, relevant conversation, project files, project instructions and selected references. Attaching a file can make it part of saved project data and later AI context. Remove anything you do not want processed before submitting. Read about providers and privacy.

What do progress messages mean?

Progress reflects request stages such as planning, writing files or checking a response. It is not a transcript of the model’s private reasoning or proof that a deployment has happened. Review the final result and save status. If a task fails or is cancelled, inspect the existing draft before retrying.

Can I import from GitHub?

Use the public-repository import and choose a repository you have permission to use. Supported source files are imported subject to size and file limits. It does not run server commands or connect a private repository.

Previews, exports & local work

Does exporting publish my site?

No. A source ZIP contains project files for your own editor or hosting service. An HTML export is a browser-viewable snapshot. Review external asset links and any dependencies; exports are not guaranteed to work offline.

Are forms, payments and logins functional?

A visual design does not provide those services on its own. Connect and test the required backend before collecting data or payments. Browser preview and browser tests do not provision a server, database or production domain.

Can I run a project on my computer?

Download its source and follow the requirements of that project. The Draftmango CLI and automatic terminal pairing are still in development. There is no working install or pairing command to use yet.

Domains & publishing

Is a custom domain included in a plan?

The proposed paid plans include the ability to connect a custom domain. Buying and renewing the domain are separate costs. Free published sites are planned to use a Draftmango subdomain when publishing launches.

What will buying through Draftmango do?

The intended flow is to search a name, review a registration and renewal quote, provide the required owner details, confirm payment, and let Draftmango arrange registration and connection through Name.com. Quotes will include our service margin. This purchase flow is not live yet.

Does “available” reserve a domain?

No. Availability is a point-in-time result. Development/sandbox results do not guarantee real-world availability. A saved order or connection draft is not a purchase, ownership verification or DNS change. You can also keep a domain with your current registrar and connect it once that feature is available.

Is Draftmango being online the same as my site being published?

No. The Draftmango application is hosted at draftmango.com. Hosting and publishing customer-generated websites is a separate feature that is still being prepared.

Plans, credits & billing

Will choosing a plan charge me?

No. The current pricing page is a launch preview. Plan selection does not create a paid subscription. Live checkout, renewal and cancellation terms will be shown before any paid service opens.

What are AI credits?

Credits are proposed allowances for generation and AI-assisted changes. They are not a fixed number of pages or websites. Free is planned to include 500 trial credits once; Basic 1,000 and Pro 3,000 each month. Rates, expiry and charging rules will be published before paid use. There is no customer credit metering in the current preview.

Monthly or yearly?

Proposed Basic pricing is $15 monthly or $120 paid yearly; Pro is $39 monthly or $360 paid yearly. A yearly price is paid in one instalment, not the equivalent monthly figure. The proposed monthly credit allowance does not arrive as a year’s credits at once. Taxes and any separate domain charges must be clear before purchase.

What about refunds?

No live charges are taken in the current preview. Cancellation and refund information will accompany live checkout, without removing statutory consumer rights. See the payment terms.

Accounts & email

Why can’t I sign up or use Google sign-in yet?

Public registration is closed while account email delivery is prepared. Google, Apple, Microsoft and GitHub sign-in require separate provider setup and are not enabled. A displayed option does not create an account with that provider.

Where is my verification or reset email?

Transactional email is not active on the public deployment. In local development, messages may be written to development mail files instead of delivered to an inbox. A reset request alone does not confirm that an email was sent. Never share passwords or verification codes with support.

Saved work & privacy

Where is my work saved?

Signed-in chats, projects and preferences are stored against your account. Your browser also keeps a working copy. Domain drafts are currently device-local. Check the save indicator before closing a tab; a connection failure may leave changes unsynced.

How do I take a copy or delete my information?

Settings → Data & privacy offers a JSON account export and account deletion. Export activity separately from Usage, or download individual project source from the editor. Exports can include private messages and source files; check them before sharing.

Clearing browser data removes local copies, not your server account. Account deletion removes active account records; it cannot remove files you downloaded or copies you sent to others. Recovery and legal records may need separate handling. See the privacy notice for details and your rights.
